Post Linking Google with Microsoft Analytics
A quick question:

Is it possible to link Google Adwords campaigns to Microsoft Analytics. If so, will the referals be tracked and will the ROI be linked?

Thanks

A good way would be to customize all your ads to contain parameters behind the url. These parameters are stored (in the referrer url) and can later be analyzed in any web anaylitical tool.

heres an article on it: http://www.bgtheory.com/blog/microsoft- ... for-links/

Yes, that way I can track my incomming links per add, but is there any way to integrate my Adwords add performance with the results I track on Microsoft...

Is there a way to get a quick overview of my campaigns without having to do loads of extra work by setting up my campaign and add urls in a specific manner?

I believe there is a integrated way. Check their support forums, as MS has been focussing on this.

There is no real integrated way and you'll need to modify your landingpage urls from your adds for the systems to work with each other.

Like Admin said you need to alter your urls to containcertain parameters:

Quote:
For Microsoft adCenter Analytics to track keywords individually, a distinct landing page (The webpage on which a website visitor "lands" after clicking a link used by a campaign or referring website.) URL (An Internet address—www.microsoft.com, for example.) must be used with each keyword or phrase. You can achieve this by making a simple modification to your Google AdWords.

Sign in to your Google AdWords account.
On the Campaign Management tab, in the Campaign Name column, click the campaign that includes the ad group you want to track.
In the Ad Group Name column, click the ad group.
Click the Ad Variations tab.
Next to the text ad or image ad used by the group, click Edit.
In the Destination URL box, enter a unique URL to associate with the keyword that identifies the source and the keyword. You can use the Google URL Builder to generate the URL and then you can simply paste the URL into the Destination URL box. For example:
yourwebpage.com/yourpage.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=boots
Click Save Ad.

The help is actually pretty good. Not a lot of people seem to use it.

Do you need any additional software or programs in order to make this process work? Or is it pretty easy to link together?
