Hey there,

Recently my MS Analytics reports started showing a "download SilverLight" button. Why?
I've rad something about this plugin, basically MS wanting to make a substitute for Adobe flash, and not everybody found it necessary to install.

My question is, does it open up a lot of new functionality in Microsoft Analytics?

please tell me if you've already installed it!

I've got Microsoft Silverlight installed for some time now and although I haven't used it for a lot of other sites, for Microsoft Analytics it has soem value. It primarilly ads faster and nicer navigation. It's a lot more attractive. Selecting report dates is faster. The showing of the reports still has the same speed.
It also greatly enhances the usability of the treemap features. It now allows you to retain the
cells you;ve selected while changing colors and size.

In general it's more responsive.

For analytics I'd install it! It's fast, doesn't take up a lot of resources and might also prove handy n the future.

Silverlight sucks! Why do you need such a plug-in? Google can do without...
